With majestic panoramic views of the Andaman Sea, Aquella’s 7,000-yard, par-72, 18-hole course promises to be a Phuket showstopper when it opens to the public in 2020.  Located along the Andaman Sea at Thai Muang Beach, 40 minutes north of Phuket Airport, the course is easily accessible for visitors to the island. The original Thai Muang golf course was obliterated in the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami and since 2018, Australian designers Pacific Coast Design have been redeveloping the thirty-year old course, to bring it up to modern international standards. While the new layout maintains some of the original Andy Dye designed holes, the vast majority will be significantly re-worked. Included in the Aquella Golf Resort & Country Club redevelopment are new hotels, residential villages, a marina and a yacht club. A brand-new resort will bring modern first-class facilities with the clubhouse restaurant planned to overlook the golf course, as well as the sparkling Andaman Sea. Prior to a round, players will also be able to warm up using a golf simulator or enjoy a tea or a coffee on the golfer's terrace.
