Mountain Shadow was designed by Ronald Fream in 1993 and has pleasant hillside views as a back drop and cooling breezes from the nearby bay. It's a very pretty course but relatively short and tight making straight driving a necessity. It has a links style feel to it with many large mounds and bumps -  you very rarely get a flat lie, even in the middle of the fairway. The clubhouse has a decent Thai restaurant serving a range of dishes at good prices.  There is a pro shop in the lobby and there are plenty of changing rooms for visitors.
